About JustLostKey
Hiya, I'm Tonya! The hands, heart, and hustle behind JustLostKey.
The name? It's how you properly pronounce my last name. Something I've been saying to people since the 4th grade... a pun on myself, really. Also, a skeleton key that unlocks your brand's potential. It felt right. 🗝️
I've been in the graphic design world since 2009, and started printing in 2011. While pursuing my Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design at St. Clair College, I landed my first design role at a local charity organization. Balancing work, studies, and raising my son, I discovered my true passion: watching designs transform from sketch to finished product. An internship at a local print shop during school sealed it; I'd found my niche.
After graduation, I stayed on with that shop for a while, then spent a few years freelancing before finding a new home at another print shop. I got to dive into customer service and installations and really understand the industry from every angle. I even took a turn in retail design for a couple of years. Eventually, I got offered a position from my first graphic design job, and I found myself running a full print shop, from design to production and everything in between. So much learning and advancing my print business knowledge.
But apparel? That's where my heart is. I love the creativity, the craft, and the joy of putting something meaningful into someone's hands. So I decided to do it on my own terms, and that's how JustLostKey was born. Today, we offer DTF transfers, custom apparel, embroidery, screen printing, and promotional products, all out of our shop here in Oldcastle/ Windsor-Essex. Proud to be women-owned, proudly local, and genuinely invested in helping the businesses and teams around us look their best, while also offering singular custom orders with the same great service.
Oh, and you may spot two orange tabby supervisors keeping a close eye on things. That's Oak and Maple. They don't do much, but they're very serious about quality control.
Ink. Stitch. Bewitch. ✨ I'm so glad you're here, thanks for stopping by!
